Business description	SKK allocates its resources primarily in the area of diabetic
	care, and our activities range from the R&D through marketing
	of ethical pharmaceuticals, diagnostic products that include the
	patient-friendly andeasy-to-use self-monitoring system for blood
	glucose and medical nutrition products.
	R&D:
	Our Central Research Laboratory work for the development of
	new drugs and novel pharmaceutical technologies
	that wi fill unmet needs in the world markets.
	The R&D also runs a number of joint research programs
	with overseas research organizations.
	Production:
	Efforts are currently paid to connect and control our three
	production facilities, Fukushima Factory, Kumamoto Factory
	and Hokkaido Factory, by the highly integrated production
	management system, that will allow production of high-quality
	products, low-cost operations and secure supply of products.
	Marketing:
	Each of our medical, diagnostic or nutrition representatives
	in the 21 branch offices that cover the whole country is
	connected by our own IT networks. They work to propagate
	information necessary for the safe and appropriate use
	of our ethical pharmaceuticals, diagnostic and nutrition
	products to the medical professions.
