IN PURSUIT OF NEW VALUE

Our goal in R&D activities is to create safer, more effective, and easier to use medicines which provide "New Value" to the market. Therefore, from the drug designing through the development phase, we work very closely with doctors to develop medicine which is usable by the market as opposed to having a "product out" concept.

Each of the laboratories has a clear mission and works interactively with each other in order to maximize our overall R&D capability.

Discovery Research Laboratory
The mission of this division is to develop new drugs with a‘New Value’mainly in the diabetes and diabets-related therapeutic areas. Researchers use their established and efficient research methodologies to accomplish this misson. Collaborations are also going on with some overseas institutes with highly efficient and advanced screening technologies for the creation of innovative new drugs in such therapeutic areas.

Pharmaceutical Research Laboratory
New drug candidates discovered in the Drug Discovery Laboratory undergo such strict evaluations as the elucidation of pharmacological properties, drug disposition and safety, etc. in this division. The division also works actively on ‘added value’of products already on the market by pursuing the expansion of indications or research for new uses thereof.

Pharmaceutical Technology Research Laboratory
This laboratory was estab0lished as an independent research facility so as to effectively engage its resources in the development of new formulations and DDS technologies for the developing more effective and easier to use medicines.
